On July 1–2, friendlyway joined security professionals and industry experts at SecurityExpo 2026 (SicherheitsExpo) in Munich. Over two busy days, our team demonstrated how modern visitor management, professional self-service kiosks, badge printing, and physical access control can work together as one connected process.
From strengthening our partnership with Evolis to presenting practical access solutions and exchanging ideas with security leaders, the event confirmed a clear direction: organizations are seeking integrated systems that enhance security and compliance without adding complexity for visitors or employees.

One of the most important moments at the friendlyway stand was the confirmation of our continued global partnership with Evolis.
Anton Dechko, Managing Director at friendlyway, and Typhaine Bruneau, Sales Executive at Evolis, reaffirmed the collaboration between the two companies. The partnership enables friendlyway customers to combine flexible kiosk technology with reliable, seamlessly integrated card-printing capabilities.
Depending on the organization’s requirements, Evolis printers can support:
- Personalized visitor badges printed directly during check-in
- RFID credential encoding for integration with physical access control systems
- Automated card collection during check-out, helping prevent credentials from being lost or retained

Another highlight of the event was a presentation by our colleague Soeren Seybert, who explored current challenges and digital approaches in visitor management.

This is becoming increasingly important for businesses that need to balance security requirements, regulatory obligations, operational efficiency, and a professional visitor experience.

Visitors to the friendlyway stand could experience our kiosk systems firsthand.
The Empire 22 Pro, with its robust metal housing, attracted particular attention from organizations operating in industrial and security-sensitive environments. The versatile Counter 22 also demonstrated how compact kiosk hardware can be incorporated into a wide range of reception and self-service scenarios.
A live barrier-control demonstration made the connection between digital and physical security especially tangible. Attendees could see how a successful check-in at a friendlyway kiosk can interact with an access system and authorize entry through a physical barrier.
This practical demonstration showed that visitor management doesn’t need to remain an isolated reception process. When connected with existing security infrastructure, it can become an integral part of an organization’s overall access strategy.
Moving Towards a Connected Visitor Security Workflow
The conversations in Munich confirmed that manually entering visitor information at reception is no longer enough.
Organizations increasingly want connected workflows that cover the complete visitor journey — from an Outlook invitation and pre-registration to identity checks, digital safety instructions, badge issuance, access authorization, and check-out.
Emergency preparedness must also be part of the process. Accurate, up-to-date visitor records can support emergency mustering and help security teams determine who is still onsite during an evacuation.
Bringing these steps together creates a more consistent security workflow while reducing repetitive administrative work. It also provides organizations with clearer records and greater visibility across the entire visit.
