Patients and visitors can easily contact each other by using kiosks. Because of the disposal of several languages, the registration or other processes are easy to perform. That way the management can be relieved.
The systems are helpful at the orientation within the building. They are able to display accurately which room is being reserved for what task, when digital door plates are used. The visitors can print their way to a patient if required and no longer need to search within an unknown building.
In certain waiting areas the kiosks can show the range of activities of doctors and refer to information on the internet. Over a combined TFT/Plasma display certain contents, like television, can be controlled on the opposing wall.
By means of kiosks questions can be directed at the hospital so that they are immediately canalized at a reasonable cost.
In case of patients awaiting visitors, they can look for restaurants, hotels or shopping malls in the near surroundings.
